About the Position

We are looking for a brand-obsessed, marketing-focused Digital Design Director to work as a cross-functional partner on our team. This role will report to the VP of Marketing, manage a team of creatives, and work closely with our Digital Product team.  The position is responsible for delivering high-performing, on-brand, creative assets for our website, email, social media, and digital acquisition.  We’re looking for someone who knows they can meaningfully contribute to a team and is looking for the right place to do it all. What you’ll do...

  • Establish the creative vision — Concept and execute brand and direct-to-consumer marketing initiatives.  Includes but not limited to message, campaigns, visual aesthetic, events, collaborations.
  • Create marketing and brand assets — Oversee and execute the creation of emails, website elements, videos, digital ads, print collateral, packaging, etc.   
  • Lead the creative team — Manage and develop a Senior Brand Designer and Copywriter, effectively communicate & prioritize initiatives with the Project Manager 
  • Art Direct photo/video shoots for brand and acquisition marketing — Concept, Identify talent with Creative Producer, Execute, and Manage post-production (making selects, retouching, etc.)
  • Design visual elements for the website — Collaborate with the digital product team on landing pages, new layouts and functionality, site enhancements, etc to optimize site conversion and increase consumer spend. Manage and continue to develop brand style guide for site.

Other Requirements and Considerations

  • 10 years of related experience, particularly in a digital-first business
  • Experience at a venture-backed startup, direct-to-consumer or in e-commerce industry preferred
  • Strong business acumen - creates with an eye towards results while staying on brand.
  • Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, Google Docs, Sketch/Zeplin, Dropbox, Unbounce
  • Working knowledge and/or ability to execute motion graphics
  • Proven experience working cross-functionally with demonstrated leadership skills
  • Ability to illustrate
