About the role

ROCKETS OF AWESOME is looking for an exceptional Associate Technical Designer to join our team Full Time. This role will be responsible for all aspects of development and production for Rockets of Awesome apparel.

What you’ll do...

  • Develop and create technical design specifications (including graded size charts, technical sketches, and construction details)
  • Update tech packs to track design revisions following proto line review  
  • Measure and prepare all samples for fittings
  • Take accurate fit notes during fitting
  • Analyze and clearly communicate fit comments using drawing tools and pattern corrections
  • Maintain tracking log and organizational systems for development and production status
  • Own communications with vendors regarding fit, pattern corrections, construction, quality, and grading
  • Field all issues from proto through production
  • Assist in preparing inspection packets

We’re looking for someone who is...

  • 5-7 years minimum of Technical Design experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Pattern Making, Technical Design or Design
  • Children’s experience preferred but not required
  • Strong knowledge of pattern making, construction methods, machinery, and application to garment specs
  • Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Excel, and Word
