About the Position

We are looking for an eager and excited fall intern who’s ready to dive into all aspects of a consumer-facing, ecommerce startup. We’re offering credit through your school’s program for this position. You’ll work directly with cross-functional leaders to collaborate on projects and initiatives that help drive us towards our company-wide goals. This is a great opportunity to gather hands-on experience in a startup environment, make meaningful connections in the venture-backed startup space, and have a direct impact on key deliverables.   • A tech wiz. You’re a pro on all sorts of platforms and can flawlessly navigate everything from Gmail to Excel to Illustrator.
  • Eager to dig in. Enthusiastic and proactive, you’re ready to learn new skills and experience the challenges an early stage startup firsthand.
  • A diligent self-starter. You exhaust all available resources before reaching out with a question and do your homework before important meetings. You’re always prepared and two steps ahead of the tasks assigned to you.
  • An organized builder. If the tool or process you need doesn’t exist, you build it yourself. You’re a pro at identifying inefficiencies and eliminating.
  • Ready for a Big Role at a Startup. You’re not easily intimidated by tackling projects and you’re comfortable managing your workflow in an unstructured environment.
  • Aware of runway, street style and has the ability to translate trends into kids market. You have a high taste level and eye for fashion direction and future trends.
  • Strong interest in Fashion/Apparel graphics.
  • Strong interest/understanding in Graphic Design/Typography

What you’ll do...

  • Assist in creation of apparel graphics and prints for boy and girl divisions with a primary focus on graphic tees.
  • Create graphics by hand and digitally in Illustrator and Photoshop.
  • Create art spec packages including technique, color and sizing.
  • Match seasonal color palettes for on screen and color printer.
  • Assist in preparing and documenting presentation boards for key milestone meetings.
  • Assist in approval of all strike-offs, hand looms, and knit-downs.
  • Maintain and organize seasonal binders, inspiration, and production samples.
  • Participate in research and development of seasonal trends.


Other Requirements and Considerations:

  • A current student in a NY-based study program or university eligible to work for credit in that program
    • Students pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design are preferred
  • Excellent technical drawing and ability
  • Experience interning for a venture-backed startup or in e-commerce industry preferred
  • High proficiency in Illustrator, Photoshop and Microsoft Excel
