About the Position:

We are looking for a strong Senior Financial Analyst to report directly to the VP of Finance. This role will be responsible for owning the budget and forecast model, providing Support for Ad Hoc BOD requests, measuring and analyzing business performance, and scenario planning for shaping the company’s strategy.

What We’re Looking For:

You are...

  • Well-Versed in Business Operations. You know how businesses are structured and operate, you know your way around an annual budget, and have no problem building an operating model.
  • A Self-Motivated Problem Solver. You see a problem and can’t wait to dig in to solve it. You’re creative and driven, and you don’t need to be micromanaged.
  • A Data-Driven Decision Maker. You love to dive into the data! You’re obsessed with KPIs and measuring results, and you get excited about identifying optimizations and analyzing test results in detail. You also have enough experience and good instincts to make decisions when limited data is available.
  • Detail-Oriented. You exhibit attention to detail, you track down variances, and you exhibit great pride in the quality of your work.
  • Able to Synthesize Your Analysis. It’s not enough to be whip smart with a spreadsheet. We’re looking for someone who can dig into the numbers and then translate findings into actionable recommendations.
  • Ready for a Role at a Startup. You have the skills to operate directly with senior executives combined with the humility and hustle required to accomplish a lot with a lean team at a growing company. You’re not afraid to roll up your sleeves.
  • A Great Teammate. This role interacts cross-functionally, so strong communication skills, empathy, and reliability are key. You’re comfortable working with executives, engineers, designers, marketers, and customer experience reps.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Strong analytical and modeling skills (e.g., you can throw together a sensitivity analysis in no time)
  • Fluency in financial statements, data modeling, and basic statistical rigor (e.g., you won’t confuse correlation and causation, you can explain the difference between accrual and cash)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, to be flexible, and to quickly adapt to new information
  • Mastery of Microsoft Excel required, experience with Netsuite preferred
