What You’ll Do
We are looking for an Associate Product Manager who has a passion for consumer-facing products to join our digital product team. • Move initiatives through hypothesized ideas to definitive results and answers by executing: gathering product requirements; writing stories; collaborating with designers, engineers, and stakeholders; writing test plans; doing quality assurance and user acceptance testing; monitoring and communicating post-launch performance, etc.
  • Help with roadmapping, product planning, and sprint planning
  • Analyze qualitative and quantitative data to drive goals and initiatives

  • A genuine interest in the problem we’re solving and our business model

You Could Be a Good Fit If You’re

  • Wanting to break into a formal product management role
  • Wanting to level-up in your early career product skills, and looking for an opportunity to learn; have more autonomy; influence; and responsibility in a product and tech-driven organization
  • A problem solver.
  • Creative: You know good design when you see it. You’re also creative with how you solve problems. And you aren’t afraid to show your creative side by dressing up in a costume should the opportunity present itself for a company event...
  • Hungry and passionate: We value people who have high standards of excellence; who have empathy for quickly solving a problem; and who have a passion for winning
  • Comfortable challenging the status quo: We value people who are intellectually curious; who ask why; and who value innovation and differentiation.

Why Rockets of Awesome?

  • We help simplify Mom’s life and make her feel like a hero by making it easy to find awesome kids clothes that she AND her kids will both love.
  • We help kids look and feel awesome. Our kid customers especially love our fun designs (think flip sequins, tutus, glow-in-the-dark and 3D prints, signature bomber jackets) and super soft fabrics that are actually comfortable to wear.
  • Our spirit animal is a unicorn. Everything we do has to be awesome, magical, fun, and unique.
  • We employ people who are smart, talented, nice, passionate, customer-centric, collaborative, and creative.
  • We’re transparent: We hold bi-weekly company meetings and have an open office.
  • We believe in empowering and supporting those who want to do something “outside of their job description”--be it helping with a special project or learning a new skill.
  • We believe in working in an over-the-top awesome environment too. We love to celebrate holidays, wins, and people who go above and beyond. We like to take turns playing DJ on the office speakers, and catching up over company-provide snacks.  We also have an “Awesome Committee” who plan fun outings and events like themed costume scavenger hunts across the city; catered meals; game nights; crafting for a cause. We also recently hired a pink hip hop twerking gorilla singing telegram to come to our office to celebrate a big launch with us.
