Responsibilities and Duties : 

The Assistant Store Manager is responsible for generating sales and building customer relationships in our new pop-up retail store and will have opening and/or closing responsibility. ASM who demonstrate high degrees of proficiency to interact with the customers and identify their needs will maximize their sales opportunities, while simultaneously creating a fun and inviting experience for both the shopper and the child. The ASM will also be responsible for maintaining the visual and housekeeping standards of the store. This will include the receiving of merchandise and presentation to the selling floor, processing of markdowns and removal from the floor for transfers.

What we are looking for:

  • Previous experience in retail management for 3+ years, preffering experience as a former Assistant Manager 
  • A passion for assembling full outfits and back-to-school wardrobes
  • Have a strong sense of customer service and a desire to create an exceptional experience
  • Excitement to engage with children and families
  • A sales driven, goal oriented individual who needs to win and can lead and coach team members
  • Have a positive, high energy, friendly, outgoing and engaging personality. Must be willing to take the first step to initiate contact with the customers and identify their shopping needs

Job Details

  • Flexibility; we are a Pop-Up and will be open through the holiday season, with potentail to extend.  This is not a permanent position.
  • Weekday and weekend flexibility
  • Sales and customer service
  • Depending on the day and shift, you will support store activities including but not limited to:
    • Selling on  the sales floor while maintaining experiential activities
    • Managing the cash wrap and POS experience
    • Opening / closing procedures 
    • Inventory management; receiving and re-stocking procedures
    • Overseeing the ball pit or velcro wall while simultaneously selling product
    • Assisting in floor merchandising and stock replenishment activities including maintaining an organized and stocked floor during open hours.
    • Ability to lift / carry a minimum of 15 lbs at any given time
    • Creating an exceptional customer experience for everyone that enters our store
