Overview 

Rockets of Awesome is looking for a freelance Social Paid Media Content Creator to join our Creative team! We are looking for self-motivated team player, who has a strong background in the social sphere, and who has experience multitasking, iterating on multiple design options, and working in a fun, fast-paced environment. We are looking for a data-driven creator to concept, art direct, design, animate and handoff final and amazing social media assets! This position will report to the Creative Director. 

 

Responsibilities 

This freelance Content Creator will be responsible for creating social paid media content that aligns with the digital strategy and our brand creative and marketing objectives. Must be able to concept ideas, quickly plan and art direct social shoots, and create and edit video and design final assets to required specs. The ideal candidate will be someone who lives and breathes social (and paid social), is always up to date on trends and innovations and has a creative mindset of social first. Passionate about digital consumer behaviors and social trends that can be translated into creative work that exceeds expectations.

 

Job Description 

  • Brainstorm, concept, storyboard and art direct multiple paid social media ideas based off a brief and working closely with the marketing and analytics team
  • Plan, produce and cast talent for paid social media shoots, on time and on budget
  • Design and create quality social-first video and image content for Rockets of Awesome Paid media
  • Create videos and animations (can be with photoshop animation skills)
  • Continuously improve paid content ideas and executions by working with the data team on analyzing social data / metrics, social listening and insights
  • Propose real-time content based on social media trends and relevant social conversations
  • Ensure visual content strategies balance brand image, social media best practices, trends and audience engagement



Qualifications

  • Creative thinker able to propose disruptive ideas that go beyond the brief
  • A strong storyteller who loves to create compelling messages with an understanding of how tone of voice and storytelling generate engagement
  • Works well under pressure and is capable of remaining focused despite rapidly changing priorities and competing deadlines
  • Able to analyze project requirements and provide accurate turnaround timelines
  • Strong foundation in social paid media
  • Solid presentation skills and ability to convey ideas to a small team
  • Excellent attention to details and alignment to brief
  • 2-4 years of experience in graphic design, photo/video production and editing, ideally within an agency, brand or editorial environment. Experience exporting assets in the digital space with optimal resolution, length and adhering to best practices in the paid social space
  • Must have expertise in Adobe Creative Suite, especially Photoshop and/or Illustrator
  • Must have experience in creating video and motion graphics, ideally with sound and editing in Adobe AfterEffects
  • Mastery of Microsoft Office Suite, Google Docs
  • Understanding and passion for trends in fashion, style and pop culture
  • Fundamental knowledge of social media platforms and how brands are using them in a paid social context
  • Detail-oriented and highly-organized
