We are looking for an exceptional Planning Manager. This person will support the Director of Merchandising and Planning in developing and executing processes that will influence the merchandise strategies to meet (and hopefully exceed!) our financial targets as well as manage the inventory flow.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Partner with Director to develop OTB targets by gender, category and size with a strong understanding of business needs, current trends, and internal margin goals.
  • Partner with merchandising to develop box allocation targets.
  • Provide analytical data and assortment/inventory planning recommendations during line review.
  • Review final buy from a planning and inventory management point-of-view.
  • Manage weekly inventory flow by product seasonality through box and shop channels.
  • Forecast IMU and MMU.
  • Partner with Director to develop inventory displacement and exit strategies.
  • Thorough analysis of current season selling data to inform future assortment and inventory strategies.
  • Compile and analyze weekly sales and inventory reports and work with Director to identify opportunities and risks.
  • Partner with merchandising to develop quarterly hindsight reports of previous seasons through extensive product analysis, inventory position and productivity results to plan for the following season.
  • Analyze returns data to identify inventory risks and develop solutions to manage risks.
  • Partner with Director to develop OTB process and own weekly/monthly OTB process.
  • Partner with customer experience and data science teams to develop seasonal box flow based on inventory availability.
  • Manage payment processing with accounting team.
  • Perform ad-hoc analytical assignments as requested, and provide recommendations.

Background and Experience:

  • 5+ years of merchandise planning experience, vertical retailer or wholesaler experience a plus.
  • Experience with an early to mid-stage start-up preferable.
  • Experience owning the OTB process.
  • Bachelor's degree.
