Product Manager, Digital

Rockets of Awesome is a direct-to-consumer kids’ apparel brand with the soul of a tech startup. We live to simplify the lives of families and celebrate real life with kids. Our designs, created in-house for girls and boys sizes 2-14, are driven by style, constructed for comfort, and priced under $40. Rockets of Awesome is simplifying the process of shopping for stylish, high-quality kids clothing by using data and technology to bring over-the-top-awesome kids’ clothes to families across the country. Customers can get personalized seasonal subscription boxes, shop the full collection online, and send back outgrown clothes for credits. 


Position overview

Rockets of Awesome is looking for an experienced product manager to help grow it’s digital product. This role touches and will be responsible for driving impact for the entire product: The customer journey across our subscription and ecommerce channels; from acquisition to retention and loyalty; internal tools and operations; and program management. This role reports to the Senior Director of Product.

This role is currently remote, but will require working in our NYC office in the future. 


What you’ll do:

  • Develop a deep understanding of our customers and be their advocate
  • Use quantitative and qualitative data to proactively seek out new opportunities, back up assumptions, test hypotheses, and make decisions.
  • Conduct competitive, market, and qualitative research
  • Partner closely with colleagues in engineering, CX, marketing, creative, data, and the exec team to drive the strategy, creation, management, and execution of the product roadmap that supports strategic goals and objectives. 
  • Initiate and communicate business cases, MVP plans, experiments
  • Define new opportunities and own their success from conception to launch and beyond
  • Design wireframes, prototypes, and flows; evangelize design best practices
  • Drive product requirements 
  • Write, groom, prioritize, test, and accept stories
  • Clear blockers to keep initiatives moving forward
  • Lead and participate in agile ceremonies like grooming, sprint planning, daily standups
  • Establish, monitor, and maintain cross-functional communication about how product work is prioritized, managed, and released, as well as how key metrics are performing
  • Partner with marketing to drive lifecycle and transactional email strategy
  • Optimize and improve the customer journey through all touchpoints 
  • Deliver a best-in-class experience for our customers



  • Have 2-4 years digital product management experience for a consumer product
  • Have experience managing a full product lifecycle from concept to post-launch
  • Enjoy working with a lean team
  • Excel working in an agile test-learn-iterate environment
  • Are an excellent verbal, written, and visual communicator
  • Are a proactive, hands-on problem-solver that gets it done
  • Love making simple, fun, and valuable customer experiences
  • Have a mobile-first mindset
